European Economic Area and United Kingdom. Visitors in the EEA or UK see a consent banner on first visit and can accept, decline, or choose by category (preferences, analytics, marketing, and sale of personal data). Before consent is recorded, analytics and advertising tools do not load, and Google Analytics runs in a cookieless setup where applicable. Two cookies tied to our email signup form, _fbp and _ttp, may set on page load before consent is recorded; you can block or clear them in your browser. To change preferences later, clear cookies for benemio.com so the banner appears again.

United States. We do not show a consent banner to visitors in the United States. You can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information at any time at benemio.com/pages/data-sharing-opt-out. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out request.

Canada and other regions. We do not show a consent banner. Cookie choices are managed through your browser settings, as above.

California and other US state privacy rights

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, "CCPA"), including the right to know what personal information we collect, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

We do not sell personal information for money. Our use of Meta and TikTok advertising pixels, which send information about your visit so those companies can show ads elsewhere, can count as "sharing" under the CCPA. California residents can opt out of that sharing.

To opt out, go to benemio.com/pages/data-sharing-opt-out. We also honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out. Residents of other states with similar rights may use the same page.

Your rights (general)

Wherever you live, you may ask us to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
Delete your personal data, subject to legal record-keeping needs
Stop marketing emails at any time

Service providers

We use other companies to run the business, including:

Shopify (store platform and related infrastructure)
Payment processors (including Shopify Payments and PayPal)
Fulfillment and shipping partners
Email marketing platforms
Analytics and advertising providers, including Meta, TikTok, and Google

Except where noted below, these providers process personal data as needed to serve us, under their own privacy and security obligations.

Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify collects and processes information about how you use the site to provide and improve its services. Shopify's Network Intelligence feature is enabled on our store. Through that feature, Shopify may combine information from our store with information from across its network to improve products, advertising, and personalization.

Meta and TikTok receive visit information through the advertising pixels described above and use it for their own advertising. You can limit that use as described under cookies and California rights.

International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and Canada. We take reasonable steps to keep it protected wherever it is processed.

Retention

We keep personal data as long as needed to fulfill orders, keep accurate business records, and meet legal duties. You can ask us to delete your data by emailing us.

Marketing email

We send marketing email only when you have opted in (for example, a signup form, checkout, or account creation). Unsubscribe any time using the link in the email, or email contact@benemio.com.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. The site uses SSL/TLS. Payment data is handled by PCI DSS-compliant processors.

Changes

We may update this policy. The current version will stay at this URL with a clear effective date.
